Kelly Bulinski MSEd, LPCC-S
Supervising Professional Clinical Counselor (State of Ohio # E0800364 SUPV)
Hello! My name is Kelly Bulinski and I am a Professional Clinical Counselor licensed by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage & Family Therapist Board (CSWMFT) and I maintain a Private Practice in Powell, Ohio. I hold a BA in Speech and Hearing Science from The Ohio State University, MSEd. in Clinical Counseling from the University of Dayton and completed a post-graduate Clinical Fellowship with specialized training in the treatment of Eating Disorders. I have experience working with individuals, couples, families and groups in various settings including Community Counseling, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Private Practice. Additionally, I have received training in educational, language and intelligence testing, with a focus in the evaluation of Dyslexia and ADHD. I am licensed by the CSWMFT Board to provided supervision services and offer those services to Licensed Professional Counselors seeking independent licensure in the state of Ohio.
I am passionate about mental health and wellness. My focus is on supportive psychotherapy, building a strong, genuine, therapeutic relationship with my clients. I provide a counseling opportunity where my clients are offered a safe, confidential, supportive environment; one in which they may explore issues that promote change.
My training allows me to provide an integrative approach to treatment utilizing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I utilize an Ego State/IFS informed approach along with awareness-focused, somatic psychotherapy techniques and Mindfulness practices. After working with my clients to identify their goals, I utilize evidence-based treatment modalities to meet their unique needs, empowering healing and change in the whole person (cognitive, emotional, spiritual, physical & relational).
Currently I am working with a broad spectrum of client issues including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, complex trauma, life transitions, grief and loss, relationship challenges and personal growth. In addition, I understand the need for early identification of learning differences and offer services for assessment/screening and consultation.
One of my personal values is in continuing to learn and grow in my profession and in that pursuit I became certified as a Dancing Mindfulness Facilitator. Dancing Mindfulness uses dance as the primary medium of discovering awareness. Dancing through seven primary areas of mindfulness in motion: breath, sound, body, story, mind, spirit and fusion (of all elements), with a respect to the attitudes of mindfulness, participants tap into their body’s own healing resources and realize that we all have a unique creativity just waiting to be cultivated. The practice is utilized in community settings as well as clinical settings. Please refer to the "Dancing Mindfulness" tab for more detailed information on Dancing Mindfulness and updated information on group offerings.
Deciding to begin therapy is a big step. Whether you seek counseling due to struggling with a long-standing mental-health issue, the need for support during a life transition, the desire for personal growth or help in identifying learning issues, I welcome the opportunity to work with you.
