Kelly Bulinski MSEd, LPCC-S
Supervising Professional Clinical Counselor (State of Ohio # E0800364 SUPV)
Hello ! My name is Kelly Bulinski, and I am a Professional Clinical Counselor licensed by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage & Family Therapist Board (CSWMFT) and I maintain a Private Practice in Powell, Ohio. I hold a BA in Speech and Hearing Science from The Ohio State University, MSEd. in Clinical Counseling from the University of Dayton and completed a post-graduate Clinical Fellowship with specialized training in the treatment of Eating Disorders. I have experience working with individuals, couples, families and groups in various settings including Community Counseling, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Private Practice. I am licensed by the CSWMFT Board to provided supervision services and offer those services to Licensed Professional Counselors seeking independent licensure in the state of Ohio.
I am passionate about mental health and wellness. My focus is on supportive psychotherapy, building a strong, genuine, therapeutic relationship with my clients. I provide opportunity where my clients are offered a safe, confidential, supportive environment; one in which they may explore issues, heal emotional wounds and facilitate change. Currently I am working with a broad spectrum of client issues including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, complex trauma, dissociative disorders, life transitions, grief and loss, relationship challenges and personal growth.
The understanding of mental health and the field of trauma therapy has seen many changes over the past decade. One of my personal values is continuing to learn and grow with my profession and adding to what I can offer my clients. In that pursuit, I completed my BCIA-accredited didactic training in Neurofeedback, 2019. Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, research supported learning technology used to help the brain regulate itself and function efficiently ( more information on Neurofeedback can be found under the "Neurofeedback” link ).
My additional training allows me to provide a holistic approach to treatment utilizing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I use an Ego State/IFS informed approach along with Somatic Psychotherapy techniques and Mindfulness practices. After working with my clients to identify their goals, a combination of treatment modalities is integrated to meet their unique needs, empowering healing and change in the whole person (cognitive, emotional, spiritual, physical & relational).
Deciding to begin therapy is a big step. Whether you are looking for more traditional Psychotherapy, Neurofeedback or a combination of the two, I welcome the opportunity to work with you.
